A World-Class Ingredient Indication Tool

There are 3.1 billion people (1 in 3 people) in the world that have food they cannot eat due to food allergies, vegetarianism, religious beliefs or other dietary restrictions. It is predicted that by the year 2020 more than 12% of the Japanese population, including children with allergies and foreign visitors, will have some sort of dietary restrictions.

 

FOODPICT, a new ingredient indication tool, was designed to help better understand and deal with diverse food cultures. Food is essential for everyone, with FOODPICT you can create a future where everyone can gather around the table and eat with peace of mind.

A World Standard Born In Japan

FOODPICT has been adopted at over 1,500 commercial facilities, hotels, and restaurants in 755 locations nationwide, including the three major gateways into Japan, Narita International Airport, Tokyo International Airport and Kansai International Airport. 

Our pictograms have been praised for their easy-to-understand design, resulting in a high client satisfaction rate of 96.7% and renewal rate of 99.6%.

FOODPICT is implemented in the government’s Evacuee Registration Card and MEXT’s authorized textbooks, having practical uses for local governments and education. In recent years FOODPICT has been implemented at the G20 Osaka Summit, G7 Ise-shima Summit International Media Center, the Asian Games athletes village, APEC, and the Milan World Expo.
